In December 2017, Dave Miller independently released Southern Dreams, his second studio album, which features 12 of his original songs.

Seemingly heeding the call of W.E.B. Du Bois, through his songs, Miller shows that he is a true “co-worker in the kingdom of culture.” At the mercy of a musician equally adept at singing and playing a variety of stringed instruments (e.g., banjo, guitar, and their hybrid baby—the guitjo), the lines between styles of music evaporate in Miller’s compositions.

Akin to all great musical treatise, Southern Dreams delivers a song book that not only recognizes but outright embraces musical diversity.
