On May 13, 2022, Dave Miller released Prayers in the Wind, his fourth studio album, which takes listeners on a journey to meet the salty characters from his past and makes sure that some of the unsung heroes fighting the battles of everyday life are unsung no more. Dave’s song “The Quilter,” for instance, is a haunting and grateful tribute to his quilting wife Natalie and features Eliza Gilkyson on harmony vocals.

Prayers in the Wind has a depth and clarity that leaves listeners moved and wanting to hear more. These songs find awe in sweeping vistas of natural splendor and soften with loving humor the battle of trying to age gracefully. They glimpse the bittersweet parting of lifelong lovers and give us much needed inspiration in stirring anthems of gratitude and hope.

Dave Miller's second release to appear on the Howlin’ Dog Records label, Prayers in the Wind was recorded by Bryan Hayes at Farmhouse Studio in Moscow, Tennessee, and by Don Richmond at Howlin’ Dog Studios in Alamosa, Colorado. The album was engineered by Don Richmond and produced by both Don Richmond and Dave Miller. In addition to adorning the album cover, original drawings by Marty Justice are featured throughout the eco-friendly CD wallet.
